About the Role
As the Manager, Corporate Financial Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You’ll lead a supportive and high-performing team, providing expert financial advice while maintaining compliance and driving best practices. This role offers the opportunity to lead with confidence, inspire change, and create meaningful improvements in financial operations.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with taxation obligations (PAYG, GST, FBT).
- Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance governance and reporting.
- Provide expert financial advice to improve systems, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a positive, inclusive environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven public sector experience in a similar financial management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in financial governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Team leadership with a customer-focused approach.

Your Team and Network
- Work closely with Finance and Funding Division staff.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Engage with external partners, including the Auditor-General’s Department and the Department of Treasury and Finance.
Qualifications
Essential: Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or commerce.
Desirable: Membership or progress towards a professional accounting body qualification.
