We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Administrators to join an award winning construction team. This key role will involve managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective cost control, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. You will be responsible for overseeing subcontractor agreements, processing progress claims, and supporting the project team with accurate reporting and documentation control. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pre- and post-contract administration, including tender evaluations and subcontractor agreements.
- Prepare and manage all contract documents, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Support the preparation of final certificates, warranties, and retention releases.
- Manage cost control processes for subcontractors, suppliers, and direct/indirect labor.
- Prepare cost reports in line with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department to resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure subcontractors provide safety plans, method statements, and comply with the project’s safety plan.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness.
- Maintain OHS documentation and ensure it is accessible for inspections and audits.
- Implement and maintain the project’s Quality Plan, ensuring contract documents meet the company's QA standards.
- Participate in internal QA audits and assist in the corrective actions for any non-conformances.
- Control and organise all contract and subcontract documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly project reports, including cost reports and completed project reports.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, ensuring all contract-related matters are addressed.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in contract administration with project portfolio
- Strong experience in administering contracts, including tender evaluation, subcontractor agreements, variation and progress claims.
- Experience in contract finalisation, including securing final certificates, warranties, and retention releases.
- Strong experience in cost control, preparing detailed cost reports, and managing financial matters related to subcontractors and suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of OHS regulations and experience in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards on-site.
- Ability to manage and respond to internal QA audits and ensure corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Ability to maintain clear, accessible records for inspections, audits, and reporting.
- Ability to contribute to project reports and provide accurate updates on contract administration matters.
