The business specialises in high end commercial fit out and refurbishments, creating contemporary spaces including office environments, high-end retail and dining, industrial and office reconfiguration for SME businesses. These projects are not just the basic fit outs, they also include heavy refurbishments and multi-level fit outs with some structural components.
They already have a strong pipeline of upcoming work secured for 2025 in Q1 & Q2, and are therefore looking for the next ambitious Contracts Administrator that wants to be part of this exciting team of professionals. They are an industry leader in safety and sustainability and offer tailored service to their clients and an impressive portfolio of existing clients that you will have the opportunity to work with.
They have excellent systems and processes already in place so if you have great communication skills, are good with time management, highly organised with a keen eye for detail - this role is for you. If you have construction software experience with Procore / Jobpac / Cheops etc - we are interested in hearing from you.
Responsibilities:
- You will be a focused negotiator, managing the financial aspects of sub-contract packages for their fit out work
- Preparing subcontract packages - scopes, procurement, tender comparisons and scheduling
- Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontracts
- Progress claim assistance, external variations, EOT's
- Administering RFI’s
- Head Contract Management
- Cost management / budget reports
Skills & experience:
- You will ideally have over 4 years + experience working for a reputable Australian recognised Builder or Fit out company
- Construction related degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience in procurement, sub contract claims, variations, EOT’s and budgeting/cost planning
- Passion for a new challenge, driven to deliver a quality product and ensure repeat business, and vision to plan ahead to exceed and grow in your career within the business.
