We are seeking an experienced Content Designer to play a key role in delivering clear, accessible, and user-centred content across digital platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing to the development of high-quality digital services, including chatbot conversation design.
About the Role
As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for creating, optimising, and managing content across multiple digital channels, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and user engagement. You will also serve as the in-house specialist for conversation design, leading the development and management of chatbot interactions to enhance customer experiences.

... - Develop clear, accessible, and user-friendly content for websites, mobile apps, and other digital products.
- Champion plain language principles and ensure content meets WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with designers, UX specialists, and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of chatbot interactions, ensuring they align with best practices in conversation design.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and content performance analysis to validate content effectiveness.
- Work closely with stakeholders to simplify complex information and drive customer-centric content solutions.
- Develop and maintain chatbot governance, content workflows, and documentation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in writing for digital channels, with a strong focus on content accessibility and user-centred design.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated experience using industry-standard design and content tools such as Figma, Jira, and Sitecore.
- Expertise in chatbot content design, including experience working with intent- or rules-based chatbot systems.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform content decisions.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and best practices in plain language writing.
- Previous experience working in highly regulated environments (government or corporate settings) is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Formal training or significant experience in AI, machine learning, NLP (Natural Language Processing), or NLU (Natural Language Understanding).
- Experience working with enterprise-level design systems and large-scale digital transformation projects.
