• Estimate and Tender: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a range of commercial design and build projects, ensuring timely submission of competitive tenders.
• Project Scope & Design: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand project requirements, analyse specifications, and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost optimisation opportunities, explore alternative materials and methods, and contribute to achieving budget targets.
• Market Research: Stay informed about current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and relevant industry regulations.
• Tender Strategy: Develop winning tender strategies, negotiate contract terms, and support the commercial business unit in securing new and exciting projects.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on project costings, risk assessments, and budget performance.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial design and build project estimation, with a demonstrated portfolio of successfully tendered Government projects (ideally valued up to $20 million).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and current industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam or Jobpac
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience working on Government School and Healthcare Projects.
