Randstad Defence is currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading defence organisations to secure exceptional talent for one of South Australia’s key projects in maritime construction. We are seeking an experienced Configuration and Assurance Manager who specialises in developing and maintaining a Configuration Management Plan that will be used by the Infrastructure Team and coordinated with internal and external stakeholders. A key part of the Plan involves Requirements Management through application of systems engineering principles to manage the full scope of the infrastructure and equipment functional requirements (IFR) while providing leadership, guidance, and support to the team.
The position is responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining configuration baselines for all documents within a document management system and all infrastructure requirements within a requirements management database. This will require new processes and tools to ensure delivery of high-quality Configuration Management solutions. In addition, the role will be required to develop processes for the Infrastructure Team to undertake Assurance of the infrastructure design and construction against the IFR.

As Configuration and Assurance Manager you will:
... - Delivery of Configuration Management products and services, including processes, plans and tools for the management of project information
- Support Engineering Leads to achieve required outcomes
- Keeping CM documents and processes up to date and ensuring the delivery of activities in support of closure of Corrective Actions
- Activities related to the Configuration Control Board and Engineering Review Boards including minutes, action tracking and reporting
- Develop and implement the Systems Engineering principles within the team
- Establish templates and tools for undertaking requirements development, management, communication and delivery to the customer(s)
- Support the professional development of the Infrastructure Team in Systems Engineering practices, including requirements creation, management and assurance activities
About You:
- Must be an Australian citizen to be able to hold and maintain and Australian NV1 Security Clearance
- Relevant qualification in Systems Engineering, Configuration Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Configuration Management and/or Systems Engineering
- Proficient in management methodologies including work scheduling, prioritising, coaching and process execution
- Advanced knowledge of configuration management techniques, particularly in a Defence environment
- Familiarisation and experience with configuration management practices and standards such as EIA-649
- Familiarisation and experience with Systems Engineering practices and standards such as INCOSE Certification
