Communications Partner
We’re looking for a Communications Partner to join a Newcastle-based Government agency. This role focuses on supporting a range of community engagement projects in 2025, including coastal management programs, urban planning proposals, infrastructure improvements, and public consultation initiatives.
What’s involved?
... - Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support key projects
- Engage with stakeholders and the community to ensure transparency and awareness
- Create content for corporate publications, digital platforms, and community updates
- Provide strategic advice to internal teams on best communication practices
- Manage project communications, including signage, branding, and public exhibitions
- Coordinate digital content, including videos and social media updates
- Monitor emerging issues and develop effective response strategies

What do we need from you?
You'll use your interpersonal skills to build strong internal relationships and advanced communication talents to create informative and engaging content for a range of channels, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience.
- A degree in Communications or related field
- Advanced level experience in developing communication plans and writing / editing for traditional and
digital communication channels - The ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- High-level proficiency in office software and digital communication tools
- A flexible approach, with availability to work outside regular business hours when required
- A current C Class driver’s license
