Randstad Defence is currently working with a top tier Defence company that develops and manufactures mission critical systems for defence. Due to exceptional growth, they are seeking to add a Communications Coordinator to their Public Affairs team to help develop & implement communication strategies, branding and work on exciting content creation. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Manager Public Affairs and get to liaise with internal clients as well as external suppliers and media!
This is a permanent full-time position based in their Canberra Office.
Key duties include:
- Content Creation - Develop content for external communication channels such as social media, press releases, website articles and external press releases.
- Digital Communications - Plan and organise social media platforms and assist with the upkeep of the company website and digital presence. Support photography and video production for internal & external communications.
- Editing and Publishing of templates and documents - Provide writing, editing and publishing support for corporate publication, government documents and internal templates. Understanding and adhering to Defence requirements around classified documents and maintaining an understanding of relevant standards.
- Campaign Development & Event Support - Work with internal teams to assist & contribute to the building of communication plans and strategies that support business goals.
- Graphic Design: Create graphics and digital and print media for a variety of internal and external uses such as forms, brochures, banners and presentations
Essential Skills/Knowledge
- 5+ years experience working in a corporate communications function.
- Excellent writing, editing and proof reading skills.
- Experience with photography and video content creation
- Australian Citizen with ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Competency with Adobe Suite and Microsoft applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong communication skills
