About The Role
The Commercial Manager is a pivotal member of the North East Link State Tolling Corporation
(STC)’s Commercial and Legal team. The team provides financial, commercial and legal
functions to support the STC and it’s stakeholders. This role involves providing accurate and
timely commercial advice and support services to the team and broader STC organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support the Deputy Director Commercial and General Counsel in all commercial advice and activities related to:
○ project planning, development, procurement, and delivery of the Toll Collection Capability (TCC)
○ project management of contract and interface issues with the NEL Central Package and other NEL packages; and corporate and commercial issues impacting STC.
● Coordinate the procurement of development, consulting, operations, and maintenance- related contracts, managing the tendering process, evaluation, and selection of suppliers, and contractual negotiations.
● Provide expert commercial advice to ensure optimised commercial terms and contract
conditions that manage STC’s risk.
● Administer contracts associated with the delivery and future operation of the North East Link.
● Provide support in respect of STC’s financial modelling work-stream to support executive financial forecasting and decision-making.
● Identify and develop commercial and financial opportunities to help shape the long-term vision and achieve strategic goals.
● Develop and draft contractual and procurement documentation, preparing briefs and providing adhoc commercial advice.
● Manage external commercial resources in collaboration with the Deputy Director Commercial and General Counsel.
