Key Responsibilities:
- This role requires you to work with limited supervision to oversee a specialist team and requires you to liaise with and build productive relationships with stakeholders across the branch and federated ICT groups. This position requires you to be knowledgeable in Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Azure stack, DevOps and agile methodologies.
- Oversee cloud development activities across the department, directly supporting delivery within the cloud team and guiding development conducted in federated IT teams across the department.
- Lead a specialist multidisciplinary team in the delivery of cloud services to the department.
- Work with other Managers in the Technology Services area to centrally manage an evolving IT environment ensuring ongoing compatibility with corporate standards established for the department.
- Provide leadership to staff and contractors and encourage a team approach to achieve organisational goals including the provision of performance feedback and counselling to staff/contractors through formal and informal performance management systems.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills in Microsoft cloud and data technologies such as D365, Power Platform, Azure and data related technologies including Fabric, data bricks, Synapse and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate reporting of usage across cloud related services for the purpose of trending and managing operating costs.
- Setting, and providing oversight to ongoing development of, operational standards and procedures which ensure effective performance and quality in the services delivered to clients.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation with customers in a way that enables the customer’s needs while facilitating the shift to blended delivery models (internal and external delivery models).
- Develop, promote, and maintain an effective model of tiered IT support services to deliver departmental business outcomes.
- Monitor trends in work demands, analyse data to anticipate future workload for the team, and take action to manage workload. This may include both internal and external delivery options.
