Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Architect who excels in transforming technical requirements into detailed cloud infrastructure designs.
This role requires both technical and interpersonal skills to design effective solutions and communicate them effectively to all IT stakeholders.
Position Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures in AWS.
- Develop principles, practices, and patterns to standardize secure architectural approaches across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Regularly review the overall coherence of the architectural approach across clouds, manage technical debt, and seek improvement opportunities.
- Develop service templates for core hygiene elements of cloud deployments.
- Mentor and guide DevOps and Engineering teams on sound cloud architecture, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Infosec team to ensure best practices and leverage AWS services for the highest security level.
- Conduct architecture evaluations and work with project management and IT stakeholders to improve existing architectures.
- Compare technical options to select the best fit.
- Provide detailed technical architecture designs encompassing the Technology domain (BDAT) as per the TOGAF architecture framework.
- Continuously research emerging technologies to keep the company ahead of the competition.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications:
- AWS Associate Architect certification required.
- AWS Professional Architect certification is an advantage.
- Architect certification for Azure or GCP is an advantage.
- MSc in an IT-related field is an advantage.
- TOGAF certification is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in Cloud Technology.
- Insurance experience - ADV
- Fundamental understanding of infrastructure, network and Cloud platforms, ideally AWS and network security, modern software development practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps), and identity and access management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience within Network Architecture and Security.
- Experience working with large-scale integration programs and/or in blue-chip organizations, especially from a tooling and methodology perspective.
- More than one year of experience in Data and Martech related technologies is an advantage.
