The Role

Working closely with the Change Lead, the APS6 Change Management Officer will be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of a change management approach that helps to drive key new functions for the Agency.

This position will play a key role in maximising adoption of new frameworks and processes, developing strategies to mitigate resistance, and supporting key internal stakeholder relationships to effectively embed change.

Key activities that the role will undertake include:

• Assisting with developing and updating elements of key documents such as the Change and Adoption Plan, Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Change Implementation Schedule.
• Drafting materials such as a regular stakeholder newsletter, intranet content and change-related content for working group meetings.
• Supporting capability uplift efforts by contributing to the design and delivery of Education/Training plans.
• Collating and undertaking preliminary analysis of feedback from key stakeholders gathered through surveys, meetings and workshops.
• Capturing and progressing action items in change management workshops.
• Assisting in identifying and addressing areas of change resistance.
• Assisting with tracking the progress of key change readiness activities.

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools and an understanding of how people go through change.
• Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement and associated change and transition activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in diverse teams
