Who we are
Randstad is excited to collaborate with a Northern local council to hire enthusiastic and confident library staff who are committed to delivering exceptional customer service. As a valued member of the library team, you will actively engage with patrons, fostering meaningful interactions and enhancing their experience. We are looking for individuals who are customer-oriented, tech-savvy, and have a proactive, "can-do" mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive and high-quality customer service in alignment with the library’s customer charter.
- Assist patrons with using library electronic resources, devices, and applications, including basic troubleshooting.
- Promote awareness and understanding of library services, resources, and facilities.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve work practices.
- Complete all assigned coursework and tasks efficiently and within set timeframes.
This role operates on a rotating weekly roster, covering the library’s full range of opening hours, including some evening, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. Candidates with flexible availability across all library hours will be highly regarded.
Successful applicants must undergo a drug test and obtain a Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check.
To be successful, you will need to have:

- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
- Sound Digital Literacy Skills
- Minimum availability of 3 days
- Available for weekend and evening work
