Business Process Analyst
We are working with a Federal Government Agency going through a segmentation process. This role will be working closely with high level stakeholders including Program Directors, Legal Separation and members of the Legal Separation team and collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
... The Business Analyst will be accountable for multiple initiatives and will involve complex work,
strategic thinking and coordination including but not limited to the facilitation and production of an
the clients “Service Catalogue”, development of business processes to support new systems, support
change management activities in relation to new systems and undertake a gap analysis across
proposed contingency planning.
The Business Analyst may provide support to change managers, therefore it is recommended the
candidates will have change experience in large organisation/s.
Successful Applicants will:
- Manage and foster relationships with internal stakeholders to understand the business domain, challenge assumptions, and secure alignment.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organisation to define service offerings and produce an agency level service catalogue suitable for staff guidance.
- Support the Legal Separation Program with change initiatives through documentation and coordination of impact assessments and working with business owners to define and document processes.
- Support with change management across a range of system implementation/ migration activities.
- Support agency level contingency planning to minimise the risk of business disruption ensuring gaps are identified.
- Participate in and drive the continual improvement of ways of work.
Essential Criteria:
- Quickly acquire a working knowledge of new problem domains.
- Prepare and own high quality business analysis deliverable and apply structured business analysis techniques and critical thinking to business problems.
- Understand and effectively complete end to end system and operational process design.
- Adapt to meet immediate and future challenges through effective planning, organising and prioritising a demanding workload, especially in a dynamic and pressured environment.
- Engage effectively and work cohesively with internal stakeholders, with the ability to listen, influence, persuade, and negotiate.
- Demonstrate, concise and articulate oral and written communication skills.
- Develop and present material for ongoing staff use.
