Pay Rate: $818.08 a day + Super for PAYG (or $912.15 a day + GST for ABN)
Key tasks / responsibilities:
- Utilise Power BI along with other reporting tools to undertake proactive analysis and provide accurate and timely reporting, and data visualisation to the team and stakeholders regarding system, infrastructure, and service availability issues.
- Participate in design discussions with the key stakeholders, understand data sources, APIs and create Power BI dashboards and interactive visual reports using filters and visualisations - design, build and deploy.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of information systems for the provision of accurate, reliable, and appropriate data to meet the requirements of decision makers, managers, and planners at departmental, State and Australian government levels.
- Provide appropriate information on incident reviews and statistical reports within the environment which can be consumed by team leaders, management, and other departmental staff.
- Gather, organise, analyse, and when suitable, present measurement data for utilisation by officers of other departmental business units.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability and security of quality data sets required for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Maintain high level knowledge in the use of Microsoft SQL/Access/Excel, VBA, DAX and other similar business analysis tools for the collection, storage, maintenance and reporting of data.
- Manage data migration and mapping requirements for the use of a range of relational databases.
- Identify and deploy reporting automation options to increase productivity while reducing manual effort.
- Contribute to the preparation of written and verbal advice, including briefing papers and technical documentation for the consideration of management and clients in relation to information technology
Mandatory requirements:
- Prior experience developing PowerBI reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., HTML, SQL, PowerShell) for automation and database management tasks.

- Exceptional attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
