With a longstanding client based in WA and relationships across the South East Asia market they have recently committed to a brand new, state of the art 3,500 sq metre facility based in Canning Vale and are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.
In this position you will have a primary focus on the South East Asia markets alongside Australia and New Zealand and your role will be to locate, establish and build relationships with a range of customers who have high value scrap metal.

- Willingness to travel to all regions covered on a regular basis

- A commodities interest would be advanteagous but not essential
Prior industry experience is not essential and instead the client is looking for a hunter, someone willing to turn over rocks to find opportunities. This is the type of role where you own your own destiny and will be supported but will need to be a strong planner and connector.

You will need to be analytical and in the role you will be considering a number of key factors when negotiating purchase such as current supply, value of the specific metal, weight and general trading conditions.

There will be full support with trips to the UK and Europe operations for training, product knowledge and inter company relationship building.
