The Role
Reporting to the State Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and successful sales team. The focus will be on identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and promoting the company’s premium range of engineered timber products, including LVL, I-joists, and flooring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive sales growth in the engineered timber sector
- Manage and expand existing customer accounts with a focus on long-term partnerships
- Provide technical expertise and product recommendations to commercial clients, builders, and architects
- Work closely with customers throughout project design and delivery phases to ensure the continued use of engineered timber solutions
- Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve business targets
- Regularly visit clients on-site across NSW and ACT to strengthen relationships and provide hands-on support
About You:
- Proven experience in Business Development or Account Management within the building materials or construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge of engineered timber products, including LVL, I-joists, and prefabricated flooring systems
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and communicate effectively with trades, builders, and specifiers
- A natural relationship-builder with a consultative sales approach
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve win-win outcomes for clients and the business
- Results-driven mindset with an understanding of financial targets and commercial viability
- Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Passion for sustainable building solutions and the role of engineered timber in modern construction
