The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Property Services, this role will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing existing accounts and generating new business. This role focuses on positioning the business as a key solutions provider within the plumbing and electrical services sector.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships at multiple levels, protecting and growing existing revenue streams, and identifying new opportunities for expansion. This includes developing and implementing sales strategies, analysing client needs, and creating integrated solutions.
This position requires a proactive and creative sales approach, utilizing various methods from cold calling to technology and networking. The successful candidate will be adept at managing existing customer relationships while simultaneously developing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Manage and grow existing account relationships.
- Generate new business from existing B2B clients and new standalone clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple levels.
- Protect and grow existing revenue streams.
- Identify new opportunities for growth within the plumbing and electrical services portfolio.
- Develop, analyse, and implement integrated client solutions.
- Explore and develop potential revenue streams.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and practices to achieve business plans and budgets.
- Take ownership of account performance and deliver on new business budgets.
- Expand service offerings to existing accounts.
- Develop strong and consistent relationships with clients.
- Manage the customer relationship cycle.
- Attend industry events and conferences.
- Maintain allocated accounts through CRM.
- Proactively identify and act on self-development opportunities.
- Comply with occupational health and safety (OH&S) legislation and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional who is passionate about driving business growth and building strong client relationships.
The successful candidate will possess:
- 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within a retail or services organization.
- A minimum of 2 years of account management experience with a proven drive for results.
- Relevant trade-based industry experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Tertiary studies are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving business or market growth within glazing, plumbing, or electrical is desirable.
- Experience in selling trade-based products/solutions (e.g., electrical or plumbing industry) is desirable but not essential.
