Role Overview:
The CIAM solution consists of 3 parts: (1) CIAM for Individuals, (2) CIAM for Organisations, (3) Onboarding Council applications. The Technical Business Analyst role will focus on the CIAM for Organisations capability.
This Technical Business Analyst role is to work within the CIAM project team, internal and external stakeholders to deliver the following:
Core deliverables:
- Process Mapping & Optimization: Document authentication and authorization workflows, identify process improvements, and develop process flow diagrams, system interaction models, and data mapping.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work with stakeholders to capture and document IAM requirements, define technical specifications for authentication, access, and identity management, and ensure compliance with IAM security policies and best practices.
- IAM Implementation & Integration: Support authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, MFA), assist in Federated Identity & SSO integrations with third-party IdPs, and ensure seamless directory service integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, SCIM).
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain IAM solution documentation, including workflows, API specifications, security controls, and technical specs for system integrations and user provisioning.
- System Integration & API Support: Assist in integrating CIAM with enterprise systems via APIs (REST, GraphQL, JSON), analyse data migration and synchronization processes, and troubleshoot IAM-related API interactions and authentication flows.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) Expertise: Experience with authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, MFA), Federated Identity & SSO integrations, and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, SCIM).
- Technical & System Integration Skills: Strong knowledge of API integration (REST, GraphQL, JSON)
- Data Analysis/Migration: Experience with Data Analysis and Data Migration
- Business Process & Requirements Analysis: Ability to map business workflows, identify process improvements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders, developing technical documentation, and delivering training materials.
- ICT Delivery in Complex Environments: Demonstrated experience in delivering IAM solutions within large, complex ICT environments
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data and extract meaningful insights to inform decision-making.
- Collaboration & Agile Practices: Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, following Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe Agile methodologies.
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical business analyst.
