You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch. As part of the team, you will be working and operating both Fixed and Mobile Crushing Plants at Mt Coot-tha Quarry location.

- Previous experience in the quarrying /mining industry with an emphasis/understanding of modern safety practices under the mines legislation
- Ability to work in a respectful /dedicated team environment to achieve production and safety objectives.
- Must have good communication skills
- Flexible to multi-skill/ further expand their qualifications to suit our needs and opportunities
- Must be prepared to learn fixed and mobile crushing plant control room tasks to maximise production and quality of aggregates.
- The ability to collect data, to learn and follow established protocols
- Experience and/or physical ability to carry out routine maintenance of quarry processing equipment – greasing, hosing, inspections, changing screen cloths etc
What you will need to exceed
A strong sense of teamwork a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Experience in a Quarry processing environment including the operations of a Fixed/Mobile Crusher Machine is essential
- Current C Class drivers licence
- Current HR License
- Machine Tickets - Excavator, Front end loader or Bobcat
- Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Able to work 5 days a week + overtime
