About your new role – Maintenance Fitter:

You will be working within the Brisbane City Council. Asphalt & Aggregates branch. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of plant and equipment associated with the production of asphalt products. Your expertise will ensure that customer needs are met, plant utilisation is optimised, and quality and cost-effective work is provided.
- The position will see you maintaining and repairing our equipment and machinery, both within the workshop and production areas.
- You will undertake preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, overseeing stock, and ultimately adhering to our maintenance plans.
- Cutting, drilling, welding & grinding of materials.
What you will need to exceed:
- Australian or Australian Recognised Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical) - required
- C class driver’s licence
- Work safety in Construction Industry (White card)
- Available to work the occasional weekend to complete shutdown maintenance and night shift.
- You will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
