Brisbane City Council is seeking an Electrician to join the Traffic Network Services Team, working on a diverse range of projects throughout Brisbane. As a key member of the traffic signal team, you’ll be involved in projects at multiple sites across the Greater Brisbane area.
Hours: 7:00 PM - 4:30 AM

About your new role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of Brisbane City Council’s traffic signal equipment. You’ll work across a range of sites, ensuring that all traffic signal systems remain operational and compliant with safety standards.
- Installation, Testing, repair, maintenance and programming of Traffic Signal equipment
- Install, test and repair solar regulators and solar batteries
- Maintain asset databases
- Respond to call outs to resolve faults
- Retrieve and action allocated job from work assignment databases
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have electrical training and preferably experience working with signals and traffic management equipment. Ideally, you will also have some of the tickets and licenses listed below:
- QLD Electrical Work License (Essential)
- CPR/LVR (Essential)
- Traffic Signals experience with either BCC or QLD Main Roads (Desired)
- Medium Ridged (MR) truck Licence
- Above 11M EWP ticket
- Working at heights
- White card
