About the Role
We are seeking a Trade Qualified Auto Electrician to join our team in a role that combines technical expertise, leadership, and mentoring. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of our vehicles, plant, and equipment, minimize downtime, and uphold high industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to complex electrical systems in plant and equipment.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Maintain accurate service records using Council-supplied tablets and web-based systems.
- Manage parts ordering and inventory.
- Train, mentor, and support apprentices and trainees in the Automotive Electrical field.
- Participate in an on-call roster and supervise staff as required.
- Conduct scheduled electrical testing and record results in compliance with relevant Acts and Regulations.
- Install/uninstall mobile phones and two-way radio communication equipment.
- Assist with the mechanical servicing and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems while maintaining appropriate records.
About You

Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate.
- Construction White Card.
- Vehicle Inspection Certification (advantageous).
- Post-qualification certificates (advantageous).
- Knowledge of light and heavy vehicle regulations and compliance.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and organize day-to-day workflow effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
