Your new role
As an Assistant Relationship Manager you will be responsible for assisting the RM’s with their residential lending applications and day-to-day operations and management of their existing loan portfolio. This is a 12 month contract with potential for extension or to go permanent. We are looking for an energetic and confident Assistant RM with solid home loan experience to join the Sydney team.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing their loan applications and scenarios.
- Address inquiries related to loan application statuses and process-related issues, ensuring smooth coordination between RMs and external parties.
- Assist RMs in the end-to-end loan application process by directly contacting customers with updates, arranging account openings at branches, collecting necessary documentation, uploading and entering data into systems, and liaising with third parties for property valuations, LMI applications, and loan agreement preparation.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure the timely signing of loan agreements in line with approval conditions and support the loan process through to settlement.
- Manage post-lending activities, responding promptly to customer queries and handling the Bank's procedures for loan switching, security variations, and mortgage discharges to enhance customer retention.
- Oversee loan repayment activities and take appropriate action to follow up on overdue accounts, ensuring timely collections.
Your skills and experience
- Have strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- 1-3 years experience in home lending is an essential
- Possess appropriate tertiary qualifications
- Experience in identifying client needs and previous relationship management experience preferred
