This community-based, not-for-profit, 60 place service in Randwick is seeking an Assistant Director / Educational Leader to join and help lead their established team of educators. The centre is purpose-built with indoor and outdoor spaces and is well resourced to ensure educators are able to provide children with high quality early learning experiences.
This centre is highly reputable within the Randwick area and prides itself on its strong ties with the local community. The service is located a 15 minute walk from Randwick Light Rail station or on-site parking is available.
The Role
As the Educational Leader your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service.
- Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance.
- Support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices.
- Follow the EYLF and share the excitement of child-led discovery.
- Recognise and develop the strengths in children
As the Assistant Director your responsibilities will include:
- Work with and alongside the Centre Director to manage the daily responsibilities of running and maintaining a busy childcare service
- Motivate and lead a team of educators to achieve high-quality care for all children within the service
- Adhere to NQS as well as company policies and procedures to achieve a rating or meeting or exceeding in A&R
- Develop and maintain relationships with families and members of the community to maintain/increase the centre’s occupancy

About You
To be successful in this position you must have:
- Bachelors or Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Prior experience in an Educational Leader and Assistant Centre Manager role
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate
