Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant or an Accountant to join their growing team, based in Artarmon 2064. This is a 1 - 3 months temporary (subject to extension/permanency). The successful candidate must have exposure in end to end accounting duties alongside working with backlogs. The role is ideally for a permanent headcount.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Manager:
Your duties include:
- Full-function accounts payable - supplier payments and statements
- Full-function accounts receivable - managing invoices and outstanding ledgers
- Managing and reconciling supplier accounts
- Processing backlog invoices efficiently and accurately
- Handling supplier queries and ensuring timely issue resolution
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Month-end activities
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Preparing reports
- Dealing with foreign exchange transactions
- Working collaboratively within the finance team and liaising with internal stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end accounting duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
- Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar role
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in bulk invoice processing and dealing with backlogs is highly advantageous
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Experience with large ERP systems - SAGE software is highly preferred but not mandatory
Benefits
- $38 - $50 + Super (based on experience) [can go slightly more for the right candidate and competitive salary once gone permanent]
