About the Role:
Our client’s Sydney-based water treatment plant is looking for an Asset Engineer to join its team. The Asset Engineer will be responsible for maintaining asset integrity and ensuring that the facility operates at peak performance to consistently produce high-quality drinking water. This is a crucial role at a national leader in Water Treatment and Recycling, committed to delivering sustainable value for its stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring optimal asset performance by maintaining and improving the plant’s asset management system. Key responsibilities include
- Managing and maintaining an accurate asset register
- Conducting whole-of-life asset assessments to optimize efficiency
- Analyzing and reporting on asset and maintenance performance using CMMS
- Contributing to capital asset planning and replacement programs
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintenance engineering projects
- Acting as a CMMS specialist, providing expertise to maintenance teams
- Leading and participating in asset management reviews and implementing improvements
- Overseeing the condition monitoring and assessment program for plant assets
- Ensuring compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) and EPL requirements
- Liaising with key stakeholders to drive efficiency in asset planning and engineering
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years experience in asset management or industrial operations
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline)
- Strong understanding of chemical, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Background in desalination process plant operations is preferred
- Knowledge of SHEQ management systems
- CMMS proficiency (asset performance tracking & reporting)
- Excellent report writing, budgeting, and project cost estimation skills
Salary & Work Rights
- Full work-rights is mandatory.
- $60/hr - $65/hr + Super
