Randstad is partnering with an APS Agency to fill a number of APS6 and EL1 roles through non-ongoing contracts or S26 transfers. The Agency we are working with is unique in their broad operational and strategic remit. The available positions sit within a branch that is responsible for driving centralised strategy, capability and investment development, managing performance reporting and business planning for the Agency as a whole.

The following positions are currently available and Randstad seek to create a talent pool for future expected vacancies requiring similar skill sets and experience:
- EL1 Corporate Performance Reporting
- EL1 Policy/Program - Strategy
- APS6 Policy/Program - Strategy
- EL1 Capability Coordination
- APS6 Capability Coordination
Given the variety of roles available, we are seeking applications from candidates with skills, experience and abilities in a combination (but not necessarily all) of the following tasks/responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong collaborative stakeholder relationship in order to negotiate and influence outcomes
- Lead meetings with stakeholders and contribute to positive outcomes for the organisation
- Undertake complex research and analysis to underpin policy development and recommendations
- Evaluate costs, benefits, risks and opportunities associated with identified policy options to
recommend solutions suitable to the Agency priorities - Write, review, coordinate and provide input to Agency strategy documents, strategic advice,
narratives, briefings and discussion papers, highlighting risks and opportunities where
appropriate - Lead in the coordination of enterprise wide performance and planning tasks
- Assist in the development and reporting of the annual (and quarterly) Agency statutory reporting including engagement with key stakeholders and performance analysis
- Draft or contribute to briefing material, corporate documentation, reports and submissions
- Manage key corporate processes such as secretariat processes and other budget/finance
and coordination/administration activities - Plan, monitor own, and team’s work processes, direct and coordinate performance indicators
- Provide leadership, mentoring and performance management to junior team members
Ideally you will hold a minimum Baseline security clearance (preferred) or willingness to obtain. Canberra is the preferred location however other locations may be considered.
Salary will be based on the Agency's enterprise agreement (and any negotiated flexibility arrangements) at the time of onboarding. Approximate salary bands (prior to IFA) are:
APS6: $94k - $107k + 15.4% superannuation
EL1: $115k - $134k + 15.4% superannuation
