The Marketing Communications Branch works to enhance the reputation of the agency among key stakeholders. The branch delivers strategic and impactful marketing, communication and digital solutions, supported by market research and insights. The Branch aims to build proactive engagement and create insight led behaviour change through timely, accessible and inclusive marketing and communications.
This role is only open to Australian Citizens.
About the Role
As an APS6 Strategic Communications Officer you will:
- Exceptional Organisation & Attention to Detail: Managing tasks efficiently with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Plain English & Accessibility: Ensuring all communications align with NDIS style, branding, and accessibility guidelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership: Acting as a trusted communications expert, supporting internal teams and business partners.
- Content Development & Messaging: Drafting clear and effective messaging, including speeches and talking points for different audiences.
- Strategic Communications Planning: Developing, delivering, and evaluating communication plans, managing approvals, and coordinating project collateral.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Leadership & Stakeholder Support: Acting as a trusted communications expert, guiding internal stakeholders and business partners to achieve project objectives.
- Organisation & Attention to Detail: Managing tasks efficiently with precision, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Communications Planning & Coordination: Developing and delivering communication plans, securing approvals, and overseeing go-live collateral.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Issue Resolution: Building strong internal relationships and addressing emerging challenges effectively.
- Clear & Accessible Messaging: Crafting concise, audience-specific content that aligns with the brand and accessibility standards.
Desirable Criteria
- NDIS knowledge – Understanding of the NDIS and its impact on participants and providers.
- Government/public sector experience – Work within government and public sector processes.
