We are seeking an APS6 Service Designer to contribute to our participant-centered initiatives. As an APS6 Service Designer, you will provide technical, professional, and operational support while addressing complex issues. You will be coordinating strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyse insights to enhance the Agency’s understanding of participant experiences
- Co-create and document current state services by engaging in design and research processes
- Facilitate process design improvements and advocate for participant voices throughout our workflows
- Plan and conduct design-thinking sessions with service users to enhance future service processes and experiences
- Ensure end-to-end service designs adhere to the Digital Service Standard, meeting the needs of participants and staff
- Assess proposed solutions at both conceptual and tactical levels, contributing to ongoing evaluation efforts
General Requirements:
- A background in service design or a related discipline is essential
- Relevant qualifications in a service design field are highly desirable
- Expertise in design strategy and the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes is crucial
- Australian citizenship is required for security clearance
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to work across various departments and with subject matter experts
- Proficiency in design tools and artifacts, including user journey maps and service blueprints
- Experience in conducting primary and secondary research, with a strong capability in data collection through interviews and focus groups
- Ability to engage various stakeholders, managing relationships effectively in a complex organisational landscape
- Analytical skills to assess service ecosystems and identify strategic improvement opportunities
- Familiarity with the complexities of service delivery
