We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Project Officer to support our Patient Safety Reporting project and overall program functions. You will work closely with the Director, Manager, and Senior Project Officers to ensure project success through effective coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project planning, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Conduct research, literature reviews, and data analysis to inform project development.
- Draft meeting papers, correspondence, and other program-related documentation.
- Provide secretariat support for committees, including logistics and meeting preparation.
- Oversee procurement, financial administration, and contract management.
- Collaborate with team members and engage stakeholders to advance program priorities.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the Commission’s functions.

- Strong writing abilities for diverse audiences and formats.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and consult.
- Understanding of government processes, particularly in procurement and contract management.
- Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and issues relating to safety and quality.
Preferred Experience:
- Project management experience with competing priorities.
- Facilitation of committee work and stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
