This role is a 7 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Role
The APS6 Project Officer is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.
The APS6 Project Officer will be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the agency’s goals.
... Responsibilities
- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- Previous experience working within interfaces such as: health, justice, or child protection
- Previous experience writing business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documents
