They also oversee inclusion action plans, staff networks, and workplace accessibility initiatives.
About the Role
We are seeking APS6 Business Analysts with expertise in disability supports, project management, and technology & systems. You will play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives to enhance accessibility and inclusion within the agency. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, project execution, and business analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional expertise, services, and guidance to achieve positive outcomes for the agency and staff.
- Conduct co-design and consultation with internal stakeholders, including staff with disabilities, line managers, and enabling services.
- Perform audits, gap analysis, and research into accessibility and inclusion best practices.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements, creating detailed process maps and recommendations.
- Manage and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with policies and accessibility standards.
- Plan and execute projects, balancing competing priorities while driving business improvement initiatives.
- Develop functional specifications, incorporating standards and technical requirements into process development.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives and strategic goals.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis and project management, particularly in disability supports, workplace adjustments, and accessibility.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Experience in conducting audits, gap analysis, and implementing business process improvements.
- Ability to understand, analyse, and suggest technical and business process enhancements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Government/public sector experience and an understanding of public sector processes.
- Lived experience or an understanding of disability is highly regarded.
