APS5/6 Social Media Officer
6-12 month non-ongoing contract
The Social Media Advisor in the Communication and Media Section works closely with team members to create high-quality and engaging social media content. The role is responsible for providing social media advice and support across the agency, including risk management and better-practice recommendations.
Duties
- Manage the agency’s social media presence, including development and implementation of the social media strategy, moderation and analytics.
- Develop guidance and governance materials to improve social media capability, production and workflows.
- Oversee the development and design of high quality and engaging social media content for varying online audiences, including evaluation and reporting.
- Assist the broader team in maintaining and updating website and intranet content, while utilising analytics for reporting.
- Curate, amplify and engage with content across partner channels.

- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders crucial for enhancing outcomes
- Have experience in developing and executing strategies as well as managing social media projects
- Strong analytical and writing abilities are vital, in addition to initiative, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a comparable position
- A comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms is essential.
