About the Role
As an APS5/6 Policy Officer, you will contribute to policies, programs, and initiatives that drive innovation, collaboration, and the economic transformation necessary for a clean energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver workforce development initiatives, including a national worker training centre and an emergency first responder training package.
- Contribute to the annual energy report, including data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Assist in the development of an industry code of conduct.
- Support international engagements and partnerships on clean energy initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise on specific energy technologies or applications.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, submissions, and correspondence.
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have an interest in climate and energy policy.
- Possess strong research, analytical, and data management skills.
- Are skilled in written communication and relationship building with diverse stakeholders.
- Excel in collaborative team environments, including dispersed teams.
- Have experience in policy development and the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
- Can obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance (mandatory).
