Duties:
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant Commonwealth legislation across the entire case management cycle.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and knowledge in complex rehabilitation case management and/or performance and behaviour case management.
- Under limited direction, provide effective and timely advice and support on a range of case management services including: injury management, early intervention, reasonable adjustments, absent management strategies and return to work programs, issues relating to employee performance, behaviour and conflict resolution.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely exchange of information and the development of a collaborative and integrated approach to ensure best practice case management services is provided.
Key Capabilities:
- In-depth understanding of relevant people and case management related policies, practices and legislation
- Work with independence, subject to limited direction, applying effective problem solving and critical thinking skills to exercise sound judgment in consideration of immediate and longterm issues.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with, and influence, key stakeholders
Requirements:
- Current baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
- Australian Citizenship.
- Experience as a Rehabilitation Case Manager in the Comcare Scheme under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) and/or in managing performance and behaviour related matters in line with the the Public Service Act 1999.
