Duties:

• Working closely with the projects teams to transition delivery for new systems into Census Operations.
• Utilise your research and analysis skills to identify trends and prepare project briefs to support informed decision-making and planning
• Design, develop, test, deploy and operate business application solutions and improvements to best meet functional and non-functional needs
• Apply best practice for the associated application’s technology stack, surrounding architecture and divisional application delivery practices

Skills:

• Software engineering and/or enterprise application integration skills and experience, including relevant ICT qualifications
• Client liaison, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• ability to work independently with minimal direction and as an effective member of a team
• Ability to analyse requirements, build new functionality and provide robust design solutions
• Demonstrated passion for developing quality code and an eye for detail

As well as at least one of the following (multiple would be highly desirable – dependent on role):

• Java development, including JBoss and REST services
• Experience in development using .NET C#
• Experience developing in AWS or similar cloud services
• HCL Notes development
• Database development including SQL and PL/SQL
