Are you an experienced Application Packager with expertise in Microsoft Intune packaging? We are looking for a skilled professional to join a dynamic IT and Digital Delivery team in a BAU-focused role. This is a 12-month contract opportunity where you’ll be responsible for packaging, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting applications within a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Package, test, and deploy applications using Microsoft Intune and SCCM, focusing on Windows 11 and Windows 10 environments.
- Create and manage Win32, MSI, and MSIX application packages for deployment.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate packaging and deployment tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application packaging and deployment issues.
- Work with Intune App Deployment Policies to ensure seamless application delivery.
- Collaborate with the Testing team to remediate any defects identified throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Ensure applications meet corporate security and compliance standards.
- Document packaged applications, deployment methods, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist with application lifecycle management, including upgrades and deprecations.
- Monitor and optimise Intune deployments to minimise end-user disruption.
- Stay updated with modern endpoint management best practices and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
- Proficiency in MSI, MSIX, and Win32 app packaging.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and deployment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Autopilot and Intune Application Deployment Policies.
- Experience with Windows 11 application compatibility testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving installation and compatibility issues.
- Knowledge of cloud-based software distribution and deployment methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with ConfigMgr (SCCM) in hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with Azure AD, Group Policy, and Windows Defender Application Control.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with thousands of endpoints.
- Microsoft certifications (such as MD-102: Endpoint Administrator) are a plus.
- Understanding of macOS and mobile application management (MAM) in Intune is a bonus.
