Technical Internal Sales Representative - Valves, Actuation & Control (Brisbane)

Are you a technically adept sales professional with a passion for valves, actuation, and control? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment? We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Technical Internal Sales Representative to join our supportive team and contribute to our continued growth.
Reporting to the Project Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in building our technical sales capability, supporting our clients, and driving revenue.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customer businesses, determine their requirements, and recommend tailored product and solution offerings.
- Quotation & Bid Management: Prepare accurate quotations, assimilate costs, ensure technical compliance, and assess margins to deliver compelling commercial and technical bids.
- Negotiation & Client Liaison: Conduct negotiations, tailor bids and tenders to customer demands, and build strong client relationships.
- Order Management & Coordination: Ensure accurate sales order entry and align supplier sub-orders with project technical and delivery schedules.
- Supplier & Client Communication: Liaise with suppliers and clients, conduct follow-up visits, and secure bids.
- Problem Solving & Escalation: Troubleshoot issues and escalate urgent matters to management promptly.
What You Bring:
- Solid technical sales experience, ideally with product knowledge of piping, fittings, and valves, or related industry experience.
- Engineering background (mechanical or structural preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in a project sales environment is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of executing successful tenders to achieve sales revenue and margin targets.
- Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Preferred experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
