We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Officer (AO6) to join the team and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse range of capital infrastructure projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for capital infrastructure projects, including the preparation and calling of tenders, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Conduct comprehensive purchasing activities across a variety of categories, encompassing construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade works.
- Apply advanced evaluation and regulatory techniques to ensure compliance and best value outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, operations staff, and external partners, to provide expert advice and guidance on sourcing solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring effective contract performance and dispute resolution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate professionalism and contribute positively to the team's culture, driving high standards of customer service.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a senior procurement role, with a comprehensive understanding of the procurement function.
- Proven experience in preparing and calling Capital Infrastructure tenders and conducting purchasing activities for construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities.
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluation and regulatory techniques.
- Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, and experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Experience within a government procurement environment is highly desirable.
