Randstad is recruiting a Project Officer for a State Government Department on the Gold Coast. This exciting opportunity offers an immediate start and a full-time assignment until 30th June 2025, with the potential for extension. The role is classified at the AO6 level, with an hourly pay rate of $77.02 - $82.40 + superannuation, depending on experience.
... About the Role
As the Project Officer, you will collaborate with managers and stakeholders to develop and implement key governance frameworks, policies, and process improvements. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with government standards, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and refine procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with government regulations and best practices.
- Enhance quality management systems by reviewing documentation, streamlining processes, and supporting implementation.
- Strengthen information security frameworks in response to audit recommendations and compliance requirements.
- Support corporate and business planning activities, including strategy development, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Assist in establishing and embedding project management methodologies that align with organisational priorities and governance frameworks.
Skills/experience required:
- Experience in policy development, governance, or compliance within a government or large organisational environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement, risk management, and information security principles.
- Familiarity with QLD government regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in quality management systems and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of corporate and strategic planning processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports, policies, and procedural documents.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including a clear criminal history check.
