Randstad is recruiting for an AO4 Program Officer to join a state government department on the Gold Coast. This role will be in the Natural Disaster Program team, who are responsible for project managing recovery and reconstruction works following a natural disaster.
In the role of Program Officer, you will provide support to program and project managers, to contribute to effective management of programs and projects. You will play a key role in the financial and operational management of programs and projects. This finance-focused position requires strong expertise in financial forecasting, accrual accounting, and data quality management.
... Key Duties:
- Monitor regional office projects for data quality and make changes depending on project timelines.
- Collate, monitor and report on the performance and status of program/project and financial support activities, using SAP and BI reporting.
- Schedule projects in adherence to the Monthly Updating and Reporting Cycle using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project spend and take appropriate action to mitigate under/overspends.
- Assist Project Managers with Change Requests, Value of Work Completed/Monthly Accruals & Cash Flow Predictions.
Experience/Skills required:
- Proven experience in overseeing financial forecasting within a systems environment.
- 3PCM Unifier experience would be highly desirable.
- Confident using systems including Primavera P6 and SAP.
- An understanding of the principals of accrual accounting.
- Experience managing monthly accruals and cash flow predictions.
- Proven ability adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Current holder of class C driver’s licence.
- Able to undergo employment screening as part of the process including a criminal history check.
This is a full-time, 12 month assignment with potential for extension, based in Nerang. The role is an AO4 position, $58.00/hour plus super.
