Randstad is currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer for a state government department. In the role of Project Support Officer, You will provide administrative assistance to support the efficient and timely completion of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, organisational policies, and procedures. You will utilise a range of electronic software programmes, databases and information systems to provide a high level of support to Project Managers and teams within the Technical Services Unit.
This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is a 6 month temporary assignment based in Nerang, starting immediately. The role is classified at the AO3 level, offering an hourly pay rate of $49.40 per hour plus superannuation. The assignment has an initial length of 12months, with the possibility of 2x12month extensions.
Key duties:
... - Providing thorough administrative support to project managers and team members, including organising team meetings, recording and circulating meeting minutes, preparing reports and documentation, as well as creating and managing spreadsheets and presentations.
- Assisting the procurement team with financial and project administration (tender processes, contracts administration, preparation of procurement documentation)
- Data entry and tracking of project documentation, ensuring project timelines are delivered on time
- Updating and maintaining databases, ensuring all necessary technical documentation is available for interpretation and reporting purposes.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Current holder of Class C driver's licence.
- Prior project support experience is advantageous, ideally in the construction/infrastructure industry.
- The ability to confidently perform a variety of financial, procurement, and project administration tasks.
- Experience liaising with a range of stakeholders including, Project Managers, Engineers, and external parties.
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with a range of information management systems and databases.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
