In this role, you will:
show more- Assist with the preparation of samples, which may involve grinding using specialised equipment and meticulous cleaning procedures.
- Utilise a sifter to process grain samples efficiently.
- Ensure accurate and clear labelling of all samples.
- Be comfortable with tasks that involve periods of sitting or standing and may be repetitive in nature.
- Assist with the movement of samples using trolleys.
- Accurately collate experimental data and maintain comprehensive electronic records as directed, including the interpretation of bar codes.
- Work effectively as a collaborative member of a dynamic team.
- Embrace flexible working arrangements and be open to undertaking a variety of tasks within the division.

- Someone with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Someone who is comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining focus.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new electronic record-keeping systems.
- A willingness to adhere to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.
- Experience in a laboratory or agricultural setting (desirable but not essential).
