A leading Federal Government Agency is seeking experienced professionals to join their team in key cost modelling roles. We are looking for both an EL1 Assistant Director Business Case Cost Modelling and an APS6 Senior Cost Modelling Analyst to contribute to high-impact financial and business case analysis projects. These roles will play a crucial part in developing cost models, analysing financial data, and informing strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and implement project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Contribute to project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration.
- Perform Excel modelling and draft cost-benefit analyses.
- Ensure project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Research, review, and evaluate projects in specific operational or technical areas.
- Oversee project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
- Prepare and review written materials, including business cases, plans, reports, and executive briefs.
- Identify, assess, manage, escalate, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits.
- Analyse project performance and coordinate quality management activities to ensure project deliverables meet client needs.
About You:
- Strong background in technical, accounting, and financial advisory roles.
- Proficiency in Excel modelling and cost-benefit analysis.
- Experience in financial strategy development and policy implementation.
- Ability to manage project risks, issues, and quality assurance processes.
- Proven track record in preparing high-quality written materials such as reports, discussion papers, and financial strategic plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex or sensitive financial functions, projects, and programs.
- Executive leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Public sector experience is a requirement.
