Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established organizations in Australia, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team based in Ingleburn 2565 . This is a permanent full time position. However, this role is even open to someone who is looking for part time arrangements i.e 3 or 4 days per week.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager, you will be responsible for the timely management of customer accounts alongside ensuring accounts are settled within collection timelines.
Your duties include:
- Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Investigate unallocated payments
- Make outbound calls to debtors to resolve account management and payment issues
- Respond to customer inquiries, both internal and external
- Prepare and send out invoices and statements to clients and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable
- Deliver excellent customer service promptly
- Investigate and solve complex problems
- Arrange and process overdue payments
- Tailor support for customers based on their unique situations
- Collaborate and report weekly with management and the sales team to address customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
- Onboard new debtor accounts including, managing the debtor account application process, checks and approvals
- Conduct credit checks and set credit limits for new and existing customers
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts receivable functions
- General accounts and office duties as directed by management
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
- 2 years or more in a similar role - previous experience in credit and collections
- Experience in MYOB system is a MUST HAVE
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Great verbal and written skills
- Past experience in construction industry would be desirable but not required
- Ideally able to start within 2 weeks or open to someone with longer notice period
- Must have full work rights in Australia
