Randstad is a preferred recruitment partner for a State Government organisation, currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers hybrid work flexibility and a valuable opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders, supplier invoices, and employee expense reimbursements in line with financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate coding of purchase orders against budgets, investigating discrepancies and capturing fringe benefits taxable transactions.
- Monitor and track invoice payments, resolving any invoicing issues with suppliers.
- Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, and conducting follow-ups.
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements and process related journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial tasks, including processing accruals, reconciling accounts, and supporting audit requirements.
- Maintain and update financial policies and procedures.
- Support the budget preparation process, ensuring accurate input into financial systems.
- Act as the main point of contact for finance-related queries, providing guidance on purchase orders, invoices, and expenses.
Essential Qualifications and Skills (Mandatory):
- Proven invoice processing experience.
- Oracle software experience.
- Public Sector experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reconciliation, accruals, and credit card processing.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Must be willing to obtain a police check.
