Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts payable Officer to join their growing team, based in South-West of Sydney. This is a 3 months temporary and high chances of becoming permanent. The successful candidate must have exposure in bulk processing invoices.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Accountant:
Your duties include:
- Ability to perform bulk invoice processing
- Reconciliations of vendor statements and investigate discrepancies/outstanding accruals
- Processing of stock and non-stock invoices
- Ensure invoices are authorized and matched with purchase orders
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice-related issues
- Performing reconciliations
- Journal uploads
- Maintain stock accruals accounts
- Performing allocations to the right cost centre
- Ability to work on multiple GL codes
- Assist with month end procedures and reporting
- Assist with Fixed assets administration
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Receivable/Credit Controller duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
- Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Previous experience in bulk invoice processing and dealing with multiple GL codes for multiple entities
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Experience with large ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly preferred
