About the Role:
As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our client's relationships with existing clients while also identifying and developing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for achieving sales budget objectives, overseeing ad hoc distribution campaigns, and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. This position requires a proactive individual with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering value-added solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities to align with our client's strategic goals.
- Achieve and exceed sales budget objectives for both new and existing business.
- Manage ad hoc distribution campaigns from quotation to final invoice, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Maintain a strong prospect care program to cultivate relationships with potential clients.
- Regularly review client performance against budgets, conduct rate reviews, and pursue contract renewals.
- Develop and implement Account Development Plans for existing and target new business.
- Create pricing strategies that meet business margin requirements and provide value to the customer.
- Identify and implement continual improvement processes to enhance service and value for clients.
- Represent the team in strategic projects and Management Meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to OH&S, EEO, EMS, and Quality.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management/Integrated Logistics, Transportation Systems (Freight and Post), and Warehouse Management and Fulfilment Systems.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse information systems.
- Proven experience in Project Management with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to understand the "big picture" of a customer's business and requirements.
- Exceptional time management, self-discipline, and service orientation.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial concepts.
- Leadership potential and excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
- Year 12 completion (essential).
- Undergraduate degree in Logistics Management or a related field (advantageous).
- Membership in a relevant association (highly regarded).
- Valid motor vehicle license.
