We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Content Designer to join our marketing and communications team. As an A06 Senior Content Designer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering compelling content strategies that drive engagement, conversion, and brand growth across multiple channels. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to create high-quality content that aligns with business objectives.
You will take the lead on shaping the voice of the brand and ensuring that all content is optimised for user experience, accessibility, and SEO. The Senior Content Designer will also mentor junior team members, manage large-scale content projects, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Development:
- Lead the creation and execution of content strategies across digital and print platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand messaging.
- Design content marketing campaigns from conception to execution, focusing on driving engagement, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Develop content guidelines, including tone of voice, style, and best practices, ensuring consistency across all touch points.
- Work with stakeholders to identify audience needs and tailor content accordingly, creating customer personas and journey maps.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to ensure content is seamlessly integrated into designs, focusing on user-centered approaches.
- Partner with product, marketing, and communications teams to align content strategies with product launches, marketing initiatives, and customer communications.
- Lead content reviews and feedback loops with internal teams to ensure high-quality output that meets both user and business needs.
SEO and Analytics:
- Create content with SEO best practices in mind to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
- Conduct keyword research and implement content strategies that enhance discoverability.
- Analyse content performance using tools such as Google Analytics, providing actionable insights to optimise future content strategies.
Mentorship and Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior content designers and copywriters, helping to refine their skills and ensure the delivery of top-tier content.
- Lead content workshops and training sessions to foster best practices across the team.
- Take ownership of content initiatives, prioritising projects and managing timelines for successful delivery.
Content Creation and Copywriting:
- Write and edit high-quality content for various digital channels, including websites, landing pages, blogs, emails, and social media platforms.
- Develop creative assets and work with designers to ensure content is visually compelling and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Optimise content for conversion, ensuring calls to action (CTAs) are clear, persuasive, and aligned with overall marketing goals.
Content Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
- Continuously optimise content for user experience, accessibility, and performance across multiple platforms and devices.
- Monitor and assess content effectiveness using data-driven insights, adjusting strategies based on results.
- Use A/B testing and other methodologies to refine content, improve engagement, and increase conversion rates.
Brand Messaging and Storytelling:
- Ensure all content maintains the brand’s voice and values, effectively communicating the company’s story to a variety of target audiences.
- Create compelling narratives for the brand that resonate with customers, building trust and driving loyalty.
- Craft press releases, blog posts, and thought leadership pieces that elevate the brand’s presence in the market.
Project Management:
- Lead large-scale content projects, ensuring that timelines, resources, and budgets are managed effectively.
- Prioritise and manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Work in an agile environment, collaborating with marketing, product, and tech teams to iterate on content in an efficient manner.
Content Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure content adheres to all legal, regulatory, and brand guidelines.
- Perform content audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevancy of content across all channels.
- Support the creation of internal communication strategies and documentation.
